A private place to ask what you are really wondering.
Questions about bodies, feelings, relationships and getting help, without judgment or embarrassment.
Pocket Uncle
Growing up comes with questions
Pocket Uncle gives boys a private place to ask the questions they may not want to say out loud, understand what is going on, and get ready to talk to someone they trust.

“Uncle J, I wish I could carry you in my pocket.”— Abongwe T. Ncube

One boy’s wish became a bigger idea: every boy deserves trustworthy guidance he can carry with him.
The first Pocket Uncle book
Pocket Uncle: Puberty & Becoming a Man answers more than 75 real questions about body changes, emotions, confidence, communication and relationships. It is written in the voice of a cool but caring uncle: clear, honest and never judgmental.
The book came first. It gives boys honest answers they can return to privately. The app carries that same trusted voice into the questions that happen in real time.
The digital companion · In development
The Pocket Uncle app gives boys somewhere to ask what they may not feel ready to say aloud. Answers come from a trusted, curated knowledge base and help them understand what is happening, what to do next and when another person should be involved.
Boys can pick a temporary name to use on the app, which makes the experience personal without requiring an account or email.
We are currently strengthening the prototype through youth co-design, expert review and user testing.

Ask anything about growing up or your health, privately and without judgment.
Talk to Someone
A boy can prepare what he wants to discuss, choose a parent, caregiver, counselor, clinician or trusted adult, and hand over the phone. Pocket Uncle briefly prepares that person to listen before helping them begin together.
Start with the question he is not ready to say aloud.
Get a clear answer and decide what may need attention.
Organize what he wants to say and choose who to tell.
Help the trusted adult listen, then start the conversation.
Why Pocket Uncle exists
Too many men learn to hide symptoms, avoid questions and wait until a problem becomes a crisis. Pocket Uncle starts earlier, building the everyday skills boys need to participate in their own health for life.
Built around boys. Supported by adults.
Questions about bodies, feelings, relationships and getting help, without judgment or embarrassment.
Age-appropriate guidance that prepares both of you for conversations that matter.
Opportunities to co-design, test and expand a trusted approach to adolescent health engagement.
A book-led brand evolving into a scalable digital product with research, distribution and partnership potential.
For partners and investors
Pocket Uncle is growing from a book into an evidence-backed adolescent health platform. The opportunity is not simply to answer puberty questions. It is to build and test a repeatable way for boys to understand their health, speak up and seek help earlier.
